Google Ads, managed for profit.

Google Ads is the most powerful lead source most businesses will ever use - and the easiest place to quietly lose thousands a month to broad match creep, junk search terms, and automation left unsupervised. We manage accounts hands-on, with the platform's machine learning working for your close rate instead of Google's revenue.

Overview

Hands-on management for a platform that punishes neglect

Google Ads has become an automation-first platform: smart bidding sets your prices, broad match decides which searches you enter, and Performance Max picks your placements. That automation is genuinely powerful - when it's fed accurate conversion data and fenced in by someone who checks its work. Left alone, it optimizes toward whatever is easiest to count, which is rarely what's profitable for you.

Most underperforming accounts we audit share the same pattern: conversion tracking that counts every button click as a "lead," recommendations auto-applied because nobody said no, search-term reports nobody has opened in months, and a structure so fragmented the algorithm never gets enough data in one place to learn. The fix isn't fighting the automation - it's feeding it the truth and supervising it weekly.

That's our job. We define what a real lead is, wire the tracking so Google optimizes toward it, structure the account so budget concentrates where it earns, and review search terms every week like the profit-and-loss line they are. We ran our own technology business for 20+ years and spent our own money in this platform - we manage yours with the same reflexes.

What's included

What you get with Amped

Full-service Google Ads management - the unglamorous weekly disciplines that separate profitable accounts from expensive ones.

Account audit & restructure

A line-by-line teardown of where spend is going versus where leads come from, then a rebuild into a clean structure: campaigns split by service and margin, budgets that can't leak between them, and enough conversion volume per campaign for smart bidding to actually learn.

Search, PMax & Display mix

Search campaigns carry the high-intent load; Performance Max and Display are added only where the data earns them a seat. PMax can be excellent for lead volume or a black box that buys junk - the difference is asset quality, audience signals, and honest scrutiny of what it's counting as conversions.

Search-term & negative hygiene

Weekly search-term review with a constantly growing negative keyword library - the single highest-ROI habit in Google Ads management. With broad match and PMax expanding your reach automatically, the negative list is the fence that keeps spend on searches that can become customers.

Ad creative & testing

Responsive search ads built with intent-matched headlines and real differentiators, plus every relevant asset type to maximize your footprint on the page. Ad strength labels are Google's opinion; we grade ads on cost per qualified lead and rotate accordingly.

Conversion & offline tracking

Call tracking, form tracking, and enhanced conversions configured correctly, then the step most agencies skip: feeding lead outcomes from your CRM back into Google as offline conversions, so smart bidding learns which clicks became customers - not just which ones filled out a form.

Transparent reporting

A monthly report an owner can read in five minutes: spend, leads, cost per qualified lead, what we changed, and what we're changing next. Full account access from day one - it's your account, your data, and your right to look inside anytime.

Inside the account

What separates managed accounts from babysat ones

Google Ads in 2026 rewards a specific skill set: knowing where to trust the machine, where to constrain it, and how to feed it data that reflects your business instead of flattering the platform. Here's where that plays out.

Smart bidding is only as smart as what you tell it. Target CPA and Maximize Conversions will hit their numbers - against whatever "conversion" you defined. If that's every phone click and newsletter signup, the algorithm dutifully buys you cheap junk. We define conversions as qualified leads, weight them by value, and push closed-deal data back in via offline conversion imports. Accounts running on that feedback loop get smarter every month; accounts without it get busier, not better.

Performance Max is a tool, not a strategy. Google pushes PMax hard because it maximizes Google's inventory usage. In the right account - strong creative assets, clean conversion data, real audience signals - it finds converting inventory Search alone misses. In the wrong account it cannibalizes your brand searches and pads its numbers with low-grade placements. We run it where it proves incrementality and cut it where it doesn't, and we check what it's actually counting.

Structure is destiny. Smart bidding learns per campaign, so an account shattered into dozens of micro-campaigns starves every one of them of data, while one catch-all campaign hides your margins from the algorithm. The right structure groups keywords by economics - what a lead is worth in that service line - so budget and bids can follow profit. It's the least visible work we do and the most consequential.

Auto-apply is not your friend. Google's automated recommendations raise budgets, loosen match types, and add "relevant" keywords - each one a small decision in Google's favor. We turn auto-apply off, review recommendations on their merits, and document what we accept and why. Your account should change because someone decided it should, not because nobody was watching.

How it works

Our process

01

Audit - week 1

A full account teardown: where the spend goes, what the tracking actually counts, which search terms are paying and which are parasites. You get the findings in plain English with the projected impact of fixing each one - whether you hire us or not.

02

Tracking & restructure - weeks 2-4

Conversion tracking rebuilt to count qualified leads only, then the account restructured around your services and margins. This sequencing matters: restructuring before the tracking is honest just teaches the algorithm the wrong lesson faster.

03

Relearn & stabilize - weeks 4-8

Rebuilt campaigns re-enter learning with clean data. We manage the transition deliberately - staged changes, close monitoring, aggressive search-term pruning - so performance dips are shallow and short. Expect the trend line to matter more than any single week.

04

Optimize weekly - ongoing

Search-term review, negative additions, ad testing, bid and budget adjustments, and offline conversion imports on a weekly rhythm. This is the compounding work: each week's pruning makes next week's spend slightly more efficient, and it never stops mattering.

05

Report & scale - monthly

Monthly reporting against cost per qualified lead, with a clear recommendation: hold, scale, or shift. When the numbers support growth we scale in measured steps that preserve what the algorithm has learned, instead of doubling budgets and resetting the account.

Why Amped

Built by operators, accountable to results.

We've been the business owner staring at a Google Ads invoice wondering what it actually bought. That's why every account we manage runs on qualified-lead tracking, why you get full access to your own account from day one, and why our reports lead with the number an owner cares about: what a lead cost and how many became customers.

Questions

Frequently asked

Leads typically start flowing within the first two to three weeks, but the honest milestone is 60-90 days - that's how long it takes for clean tracking, restructured campaigns, and smart bidding to settle into stable, improving cost per lead. Existing accounts with fixable waste often see meaningful savings in the first month, because cutting junk spend pays immediately.

Your existing account, almost always - it holds conversion history the algorithm has already paid to learn, and abandoning that history means paying for the education twice. We restructure within it and preserve what's working. The rare exceptions are accounts with policy problems or tracking so corrupted that the history teaches the wrong lessons.

Maybe - it depends on your conversion data quality and creative assets, not on Google's enthusiasm for it. We typically prove out Search first, then test PMax as an expansion layer and hold it to the same qualified-lead standard, watching closely for brand-traffic cannibalization. If it adds incremental leads at acceptable cost, it stays; if it just repackages clicks you'd have gotten anyway, it goes.

It's feeding lead outcomes - qualified, quoted, closed - from your CRM back into Google Ads, tied to the original click. Without it, smart bidding optimizes toward form fills and can't tell a $50,000 customer from a spam submission. With it, the algorithm learns which searches produce revenue and bids accordingly. In lead-gen accounts it's routinely the single biggest performance unlock available.

Management is a flat monthly fee scoped to your spend and complexity - not a percentage that rewards us for spending more of your money. Month-to-month, no long-term lock-in, and the account, its history, and all tracking are yours from day one. If you ever leave, you keep everything; we just lose access.
